Additive Industries focuses on industrial additive manufacturing of high quality, functional, metal parts through a modular, end-to-end laser powder bed fusion system and a seamlessly integrated information platform. Additive Industries is active in aerospace, automotive, medical technology and high-tech equipment sectors.
Current Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) metal additive manufacturing systems do not have inline part quality measurements. As such the customer is performing expensive (CT scan) and/or destructive tests on printed parts leading to high costs and long lead times. Additive Industries and Change2Twin partners are developing an inline qualification method for part quality using Digital Twins. In order to transform sensor data into a direct quality measure, Additive Industries is developing a tool suite which transforms available data into part quality data.
