What is a Digital Innovation Hub?

As defined by the European Commission, Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) can help ensure that every company, small or large, high-tech or not, can take advantage of digital opportunities. DIHs are one-stop shops that help companies become more competitive with regard to their business/production processes, products or services using digital technologies. DIHs provide access to technical expertise and experimentation, so that companies can “test before invest”. They also provide innovation services, such as financing advice, training and skills development that are needed for a successful digital transformation.

Tasks of Digital Innovations Hubs as defined by the European Commission

If you want to become part of the community of Digital Innovation Hubs, and you are an organisation that carries out the functions of a DIH, you are encouraged to register in the Catalogue of Digital Innovation Hubs. This is a “yellow pages” of self-declared DIHs. The purpose of the catalogue is to support networking of Digital Innovation Hubs and to provide an overview of the landscape of Digital Innovation Hubs in Europe, supported by regional, national and European initiatives for the digitalisation of industry. The registration to the catalogue does not provide a quality label and does not imply recognition or funding provided by the European Commission.

Please note, that Change2Twin can cooperate only with Digital Innovation Hubs registered in the Catalogue.
